    LANCASTER, Tenn. (July 11, 2012) – The “first bite” of a $106 million drilling project to stabilize the earthen portion of the Center Hill Dam with a barrier wall was taken today by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District and its contractor, Bauer Foundation Corporation, as the auger of a giant drill rig turned up the first dirt to the cheers of spectators.

(June 22, 2012) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District reached a major milestone here this week at the Wolf Creek Dam Foundation Remediation Project when work crews installed the 433rd and final panel in completing the protective concrete embankment wall. While this wall does not create a water barrier through the dam’s karst limestone foundation, it completes a major stage of construction that is critical to the final stage of construction – the main barrier wall, which is scheduled to be completed by December 2013.
