  • $1.8M contract awarded, add’ l protection for agriculture, communities

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Memphis District recently awarded a construction contract for a Seepage Remediation Project in Coahoma County, Sherard, Mississippi. The project will be accomplished in partnership with the Yazoo-Mississippi Delta Levee Board of Mississippi and will address four miles of the Yazoo-Delta Levee system’s System 21 – Segment 26.
  • Keeping the river open for business, dredging contract awarded

    The Memphis District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is responsible for keeping the Mississippi River open for commercial navigation year-round. One way the district does this is through contract dredging, which keeps the river channel at a depth that allows the river barge industry to dependably transport goods up and down the river. Ensuring the district delivers on this charge, the Memphis District recently awarded a contract in the amount of $7,335,450 to Great Lakes Dredge and Dock, LLC for the rental of a 24-inch hydraulic cutterhead dredge, discharge pipe, and attendant plant. The contract was awarded June 2, 2022, with an anticipated completion date of Feb. 28, 2023.
  • Corps awards a $7.7 million contract to construct a fish passage at Drayton Dam

    ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, awarded a $7.7 million contract to HSG Park Joint Venture, LLC, of Harvey, North Dakota, to complete a fish passage structure at Drayton Dam, located around 60 miles north of Grand Forks, North Dakota, on the Red River of the North.
  • Huntsville Center awards $500 million International Remediation and Environmental Services contract

    The period of performance for this MATOC is five years and will be used to continue the execution of mission assignments at sites located outside the United States and outlying areas.
  • Resource Efficiency Manager program growing

    The new $5 million Blanket Purchase Agreement allows additional REM contract awards and four additional contractors (for a total of seven contractors) increasing the availability of REMs to meet the REM program’s progression.

  • Contract awarded for test section work for the West Shore Lake Pontchartrain project

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District, recently awarded a contract for test section work on the West Shore Lake Pontchartrain (WSLP) Hurricane and Storm Damage Risk Reduction project. This work will support the construction of approximately 17.5 miles of levee system that will provide 100-year level storm surge risk reduction to the area extending from Bonnet Carrė spillway to Garyville.
  • Jacksonville District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, awards contracts for maintenance dredging of Tampa Harbor Upper Channels, Alafia River

    U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District, awarded a contract Sept. 20, 2021for the maintenance dredging of the Tampa Harbor Upper Channels to Orion Marine Construction, Inc., of Tampa, Florida, in the amount of $3.45 million.

    The Transatlantic Middle East District awarded a contract for a modular billeting facility at Prince Sultan Air Base (PSAB), in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  • Construction contract awarded for new Louisville VA Hospital

    The Department of Veterans Affairs and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville District, will build a new 104 bed, full-service hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. An $840 million contract was awarded to Walsh-Turner Joint Venture II headquartered in Chicago, Illinois on Aug. 17, 2021 to construct the new hospital, which will replace the existing Robley Rex VA Medical Center.
