New Leader Assumes Command of South Pacific Division

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ South Pacific Division welcomed its 53rd Commander, Col. Michael C. Wehr, as he took command on June 3 during a change of command ceremony at the Bay Model Regional Visitor Center in Sausalito, Calif. Wehr accepted the Division guidon from the Deputy Commander of the Corps of Engineers, Maj. Gen. Merdith “Bo” Temple, during the symbolic passing of the colors with Command Sgt. Maj. Jeffrey Koontz and outgoing Division Commander Col. William Leady.

Tennessee governor signs Safe Boating Week proclamation

BURKHARDT RETIRES; FONTANELLA SELECTED AS DIRECTOR, U.S. ARMY GEOSPATIAL CENTER

Dr. Joseph F. Fontanella was recently appointed to the Senior Executive Service to serve as the Director of the U.S. Army Geospatial Center (AGC), and is responsible for supporting the operations, intelligence, acquisition, research and development as well as modeling and simulation communities with geospatial information.
