This event will allow potential prime and subcontractors to tour the project site, understand the scope of work, and explore opportunities for small business participation in areas such as electrical work, welding, and material movement. The final contract includes completing the new lock, removing the cofferdam, decommissioning the existing lock, and restoring the surrounding site—significantly improving navigation efficiency on the Tennessee River.

  • District awards contract for Kenai coastal erosion project

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – Alaska District awarded a construction contract for the Kenai River Bluffs Erosion Project. Western Marine Construction of Seattle, Washington, will construct a protective rock berm approximately 5,000 feet in length along the north bank of the Kenai River. It will require the placement of about 42,400 cubic yards of armor rock; 33,200 cubic yards of crushed rock and 13,100 cubic yards of gravel base. Funded by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, this construction contract award is valued at about $19.3 million.

Wilds Bend is a temporary dredged material, or river sand, storage site.

PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, awarded a $374,400 contract to LS Marine, Inc., out of Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota, Nov. 16, for bank stabilization at Corps Island, near Diamond Bluff, Wisconsin in Pool 3 of the Mississippi River. Corps Island is a temporary dredged material, or river sand, storage site.
