Army Corps to repair stilling basin at Foster J. Sayers Dam
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District, will begin a $3.2 million effort to repair the stilling basin at Foster J. Sayers Dam in the coming weeks. The dam is currently operational, and this work is preventative maintenance to ensure that it can continue to provide flood risk management to downstream communities for years to come.

Corps of Engineers to Increase Coralville Lake Outflows
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, is preparing to temporarily increase outflows at the Coralville Reservoir. This minor deviation to normal operations, which will occur on or around June 30 depending on precipitation in the area, was implemented due to recent rainfall on already saturated soils that has resulted in high inflows into Coralville Reservoir.

El Cuerpo de Ingenieros del Ejército de EE. UU., (USACE por sus siglas en inglés) adjudicó, el 12 de mayo, un contrato de construcción de $9.47 millones a la compañía Construcciones José Carro S.E., con sede en Ponce, Puerto Rico. El contrato “Rio De La Plata Articulated Concrete Block Mat and Toe Key”, hace parte de las fases de mitigación de riesgos que se estarán construyendo en los municipios de Dorado y Toa Baja como parte del Proyecto de Control de Inundaciones del Río de la Plata.
