    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Sept. 15, 2023) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District is working to obligate appropriated funds as fiscal year 2023 ends. The Contracting Division is obligating its usual “team” approach to award contracts for operations, maintenance, and construction projects by the end of September.
  • Dredging to Begin at Sandusky Harbor: Notice to All Boaters

    Dredging of the federal navigation channel in Sandusky Harbor by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Buffalo District and its contractor, Michigan-based The King Co., Inc., will begin Sunday, Sept. 17. Recreational boaters who routinely use the channel should take caution and be aware of changes within the channel marked by buoys. Boaters are asked to go slow and stay away from marine equipment, stay clear of the contractor’s temporary pipeline, and stay out of the perimeter of the sediment placement area.
  • NR 23-35: Dale Hollow Dam Road closing for scheduled inspections

    CELINA, Tenn. (Sept. 11, 2023) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District announces Dale Hollow Dam Road is closing to all traffic across the dam beginning 8 a.m. Sept. 18 until 5 p.m. Sept. 21, 2023, for inspection of the bridge and roadway, and spillway gates and supporting structures.

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Sept. 5, 2023) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District announces construction at Kendall Campground and Day Use Area, including its boat ramp and roadway along the riverside campground, is nearing completion. These areas are expected to re-open by the end of September 2023.

PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is seeking public comments on the draft Environmental Assessment, or EA, for a planned Lower Sioux Indian Community bank stabilization project in Redwood County, Minnesota, within the Lower Sioux Indian Community on the Minnesota River.
  • U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to begin construction on Vermilion Harbor West Pier

    VERMILION, Ohio — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Buffalo District and its contractor, Norwalk, Ohio-based Mark Schaffer Excavating-Trucking, are scheduled to begin repairs to the Vermilion Harbor West Pier the week of Sept. 4. Construction will temporarily limit access to the Main Street beach while repairs are made, ensuring the harbor remains economically viable and able to provide access for recreation and refuge to boaters on the Great Lakes.
