    CONWAY, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers Little Rock District is closing one lane of Highway 60 across Toad Suck Lock and Dam from 7 a.m. till 5 p.m. April 21 to allow personnel to inspect the bridge.

    ROGERS, Ark. -- The Army Corps of Engineers is reminding all persons with property bordering public land around Beaver Lake to know where the property line is and avoid “spring cleaning” on government land.

  • Jim Woodruff Lock Closed for Repairs

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Mobile District announced today the Jim Woodruff Lock located on the Apalachicola River in Chattahoochee, Florida will be closed to all vessels as unscheduled repairs are underway at the lock. Mechanical problems caused the lock gates to become inoperable so repairs were begin immediately on April 6. The lock is expected to remain closed through mid-May 2014 and a public announcement will be made near the re-opening date.

    BRANSON, Mo. - The Army Corps of Engineers Table Rock Project Office is adjusting the hours of operation for the Dewey Short Visitor Center.

  • BOY SCOUT PROJECT IMPROVES CORPS’ MOSSY BLUFF HIKING TRAIL

    HEBER SPRINGS, Ark. – Heber Springs Boy Scout Troop 754 improved the Army Corps of Engineers Mossy Bluff Trail on Greers Ferry Lake as part of an Eagle Scout project. The scouts constructed a drainage system, and retaining walls to reduce erosion on the trail. They also resurfaced a portion of the trail making it easier for hikers to traverse.

  • CORPS DEFERS SHORELINE ACTIVITY REQUESTS AT BEAVER LAKE

    ROGERS, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers Beaver Lake Project Office will defer requests for shoreline use permits beginning May 1 through Oct. 14. The duty ranger availability will also be reduced to Mondays only beginning May 1.
