HANOVER, New Hampshire – Dr. Joseph L. Corriveau (left) takes the reins as he accepts the Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory seal from U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) Director Dr. David W. Pittman (right) here May 15. ERDC Commander Col. Bryan S. Green (left rear) and out-going Director Dr. Robert E. Davis (right rear) were also key members of the transition ceremony.
“Dr. Davis has sustained and rejuvenated an excellent, innovative R&D team. I look forward to joining the Corps of Engineers and the ERDC team to help lead the lab to an even brighter future,” Corriveau said during the thirty minute ceremony. Dr. Corriveau, a Manchester, New Hampshire native, previously served as the Director of the U.S. Army’s Edgewood Chemical Biological Center, headquartered at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland.
“We’ve stayed true to our Cold Regions origins, while expanding our research capabilities into related arenas during my tenure,” out-going director Davis shared. Davis, who started at CRREL as a research physical scientist in 1990 and served as its director since 2006, becomes the ERDC Senior Scientific Technical Manager and Chief Scientist in the Geospatial Research and Engineering business area.
