  • U.S. Army Corps of Engineers releases the 2021 Report to Congress on Future Water Resources Development

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has released the 2021 Report to Congress on Future Water Resources Development. The report, in accordance with Section 7001 of the Water Resources Reform and Development Act (WRRDA) of 2014, provides Congress with a list of proposed feasibility studies submitted by non-federal interests, completed Chief’s Reports recommending projects for authorization, proposed modifications to authorized water resources development projects or feasibility studies, and proposed modifications to environmental infrastructure program authorities. The report is submitted to Congress for consideration of authorization for USACE studies, projects, and environmental infrastructure programs; it does not provide funding which is done separately through Congress’s annual appropriations process.

The plan ensures wise management of public access to USACE lands and waters in a manner that protects all project purposes and mission areas through responsible outdoor recreation, environmental conservation and land use management while partnering with communities to serve the American people.
