    RISEUP Program Launches to Help Temporarily Repair Metal Roofs

    GUAM - The U.S. Department of Defense, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, in coordination with the Office of the Governor, Guam Homeland Security/Office of Civil Defense, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Mayor’s Council of Guam, have launched the Roofing Installation Support Emergency Utilization Program (RISEUP) to help temporarily repair metal roofs damaged by Typhoon Mawar.

  • Seattle District deploys local employees for Hurricane Laura recovery

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Seattle District, deployed local technical experts to Louisiana Aug. 29 to support Hurricane Laura recovery efforts. A five-person Infrastructure Assessment Planning and Response Team deployed to assist the state with damage assessments of water and wastewater treatment facilities. They are also evaluating critical public infrastructure to determine if emergency repairs are necessary.
  • Army Corps in Baltimore on alert preparing for potential Hurricane Isaias impacts

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District, is actively preparing for potential impacts from Hurricane Isaias, which could reach the mid-Atlantic region in the coming days. The District’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC) has been activated at 2 Hopkins Plaza in downtown Baltimore and virtually to coordinate all emergency response activities.
