Zorinsky building maintenance workers help ensure safe environment during pandemic
The COVID – 19 pandemic has brought about many unique challenges and stresses to our daily lives, and for many U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District employees it has changed the way they perform their daily tasks. Working diligently behind the scenes to ensure the safety of hundreds of district employees at the Zorinsky federal building in downtown Omaha are the General Services Agency’s contract maintenance workers from LB&B Associates, Inc.

Hau named Nashville District Employee of the Month for October 2020
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Dec. 8, 2020) – Sam Hau, structural engineer in the Engineering and Construction Division’s Civil Design Branch Structural Section, is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District Employee of the Month for October 2020.

USACE awards first contract for new Alameda VA facility
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District awarded a services contract August 7 to Adanta Inc., of Napa, California to restore a self-sustaining tidal marsh at the site of the future VA clinic on Alameda Point, California. The VA Northern California Health Care System will administer the new clinic.

Corps of Engineers closes Missouri River Levee System L-536 breach near Corning, Missouri
OMAHA, Neb. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District closed another breach along the Missouri River Levee System L-536, northwest of Corning, Missouri Saturday.
