    LEESPORT, PA – Blue Marsh Lake will be holding its 36th annual “Take Pride in Blue Marsh” volunteer work program on April 21st, 2018. Various projects for the day include: litter pickup, seedling planting, trail work, wildlife habitat improvement, table painting, trail improvements, landscaping and other projects.   • Russell Lake officials seek volunteers for annual cleanup

    SAVANNAH, Ga. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Richard B. Russell Lake seek volunteers to assist with the annual National Public Lands Day cleanup at the reservoir this year. National Public Lands Day will be observed throughout September at Russell Lake. Georgia’s Rivers Alive organization will partner with the Corps of Engineers to sponsor the cleanup. Volunteers for the cleanup campaign will work on the shoreline and islands in and around Russell Lake anytime between Sept. 1 and Sept. 30, 2017, National Public Lands Day.
  • Lake Cleanup planned at East Lynn Lake

    The annual lake cleanup for East Lynn Lake in East Lynn, W.Va., is scheduled for April 22, 2017. The day has been set aside for volunteers to assist Corps employees in beautification efforts at the lake. Activities for the day include trash pickup on the lake shore and surrounding public use areas.
  • Joint assessment of protest camps takes place

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers conducted a joint assessment today of the protest camps along the Cannonball River with camp leaders, a contractor, and camp members to survey the clean-up progress to date. In their determination, while there has been significant effort by current operations, it is not on pace to ensure the land is restored to a pre-protest state before potential flooding.
