    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Aug. 26, 2020) -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District is announcing changes to the 2020 Lake Barkley Duck Blind Drawing. As a result of the COVID-19 Pandemic and subsequent restrictions on large gatherings, the drawing will not be conducted as usual. In an effort to continue to provide quality waterfowl hunting opportunities, blind permits from the 2019-20 season will be “grandfathered.”

  • Louisville District beaches in Kentucky will reopen June 29

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Louisville District’s Corps-managed swimming areas will be opening Monday, June 29, in alignment with Kentucky’s phased reopening plan. Additional recreational features will also reopen to groups limited to 50 or less.

    Memphis District Commander Col. Zachary Miller had a busy day June 17 kicking off a summer full of visiting several of the district's project sites in our area of responsibility. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District recently approved the Lake Cumberland Marina expansion after a National Environmental Protection Act review concluded with a “Finding of No Significant Impact” regarding an evaluation of effects to the human environment associated with the proposed expansion.

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (June 10, 2020) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District has completed work to repair a slope above the Cumberland River diversion channel in Loyall, Kentucky, a project that included the reinterment of an American Revolutionary War soldier.
