    Memphis District Commander Col. Zachary Miller had a busy day June 17 kicking off a summer full of visiting several of the district's project sites in our area of responsibility. Encompassing almost 25,000 square miles, the Memphis District is responsible for federal civil works projects in portions of six states - Arkansas, Illinois, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri and Tennessee.

Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District recently approved the Lake Cumberland Marina expansion after a National Environmental Protection Act review concluded with a “Finding of No Significant Impact” regarding an evaluation of effects to the human environment associated with the proposed expansion.

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (May 20, 2020) – Rent abatement at all leased recreation facilities in the Cumberland River Basin will potentially allow marinas to retain an estimated $750,000 to help stay afloat as revenues decline during the COVID-19 pandemic.

  • NR 20-014: Lake Cumberland’s Lakeview Boat Ramp closed to stage debris

    SOMERSET, Ky. (May 15, 2020) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District announces the temporary closure of the Lakeview Boat Ramp until further notice. The boat ramp area is being used for the Corps of Engineers debris collection program for staging and processing large wood collected from Lake Cumberland and its shoreline.
