U.S. ARMY GEOSPATIAL CENTER SUPPORTS HAITIAN RELIEF EFFORTS

The U.S. Army Geospatial Center’s Hydrologic and Environmental Analysis branch compiled earthquake, water and geology maps, as well as a number of other data sets and made them available via the AGC’s public and internal Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Web sites in support of U.S. humanitarian efforts to Haiti.

U.S. Army Topographic Engineering Center and ESRI Collaborate on Geospatial

The U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center’s Topographic Engineering Center (ERDC-TEC), and Environmental Systems Research Institute, Inc. (ESRI) will collaborate to design and build innovative prototypes to demonstrate the next generation of geospatial technology in U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Battle Command applications. TEC and ESRI signed a cooperative research and development agreement for the project this month.

Zimmerman and Pérez receive Superior Civilian Service Awards

Zimmerman, chief of TEC’s Topography, Imagery, and Geospatial Research Division was cited, “for his contributions as a leader and advocate in geospatial engineering research, development, and applications that will have a lasting effect on the Army and the scientific community.”
