    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Oct. 30, 2018) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District announces Shutes Branch Mountain Bike Trail at Old Hickory Lake in Old Hickory, Tenn., is partially closing Oct. 30, 2018 while crews install a septic system for the National Weather Office located in the area. The work is expected to be completed by early January 2019.

  • Community commemorates, dedicates Dale Hollow Dam on 75th Anniversary

    CELINA, Tenn. (Oct. 19, 2018) – As a heavy fog lifted over Dale Hollow Dam and Reservoir during the 75th Anniversary Commemoration this morning, members of the community and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officials brought into clear focus how communities, homes and farmlands were given up in the early 1940s to make way for the reservoir, and more than a thousand men worked day and night to construct the dam. A few even lost their lives supporting an expedited construction program.

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Oct. 12, 2018) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District announces Dale Hollow Dam Road at the dam in Celina, Tenn., is closing 8 a.m. Wednesday Oct. 17 and will reopen 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, 2018, allowing for setup and cleanup of area in conjunction with the 75th Commemoration of the dam.

    ASHLAND CITY, Tenn. (Oct. 6, 2018) – Local Boy Scout Pack 503 partnered with park rangers today to mulch flower beds, trim pollinator plants, and pick up trash around the Cheatham Lake Resource Manager’s Office.

The graduates pledged to explore federal lands, share their knowledge, and work to protect shared natural resources.
