(Sept. 13, 2021) – Tommy Hollowell, quality assurance field lead in the Western Kentucky Resident Office, is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District Employee of the Month for July 2021. He is recognized primarily for his efforts to control cost and time growth for the construction of the new Kentucky Lock on the Tennessee River in Grand Rivers, Kentucky.

  • Booth becomes 61st commander of Jacksonville District

    JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – (Sept. 9, 2021) – U.S. Army Col. James L. Booth took command of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Jacksonville District today during a change of command ceremony at the at the Terry Theater, Times Union Center, Jacksonville. He becomes the 61st commander of the district.

  • Carter named Nashville District Employee of the Month for June 2021

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Aug. 12, 2021) – John Carter, security specialist in the Security Office, is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District Employee of the Month for June 2021. He is recognized primarily for his efforts to identify the need for and detail a low-cost solution to obtain security signage for project sites across the district’s area of responsibility.

  • Sahl becomes 67th commander of Nashville District

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (July 1, 2021) – Lt. Col. Joe M. Sahl took command of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District today during a change of command ceremony at the Tennessee National Guard Armory. He becomes the 67th commander of the “twin rivers” district, commonly referred to as the jewel of the Great Lakes and Ohio River Division.
