    BURKESVILLE, Ky. (June 7, 2017) – Hendricks Creek Marina here on Dale Hollow Lake raised the “Clean Marina” flag today during a dedication ceremony recognizing the marina’s voluntary efforts to reduce water pollution and erosion in the Cumberland River watershed, and for promoting environmentally responsible marina and boating practices.

  • Corps employee hits the slopes to assist adaptive skiers

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Jan. 26, 2017) – Individuals with special needs from the south eastern region of the United States spend time on the mountainous ski slopes every winter thanks to the help of many volunteers. A U. S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District team member often spends a portion of the winter at an eastern Tennessee ski resort supporting the free ski clinic for dozens of adaptive skiers.

Mark Toy visited the Chickamauga Lock Replacement Project in Chattanooga, Tenn., today. He also toured the U.S. Department of Energy Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, Tenn., to see the new Construction Support Building project.

(Oct. 14, 2016) –The Kentucky lieutenant governor and 12 board members from the Tennessee Tombigbee Waterway Development Authority visited the Kentucky Lock Addition Project at Kentucky Lake and toured the Barkley Dam, Power Plant on the Tennessee and Cumberland Rivers in Grand Rivers, Ky. Oct. 13., to get a close overview of the construction.
