LA District preparing for construction on Luke AFB

Tropical Storm Debby rehabilitation assistance program for hurricane and shore protection projects now open
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District announced today that non-federal sponsors of federally authorized and constructed hurricane and shore protection projects (HSPP) which sustained damages resulting from Tropical Storm Debby have until August 31 to apply for rehabilitation assistance under Public Law 84-99.

Craney Island mosquito spraying scheduled
The Norfolk District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the City of Portsmouth will conduct joint aerial mosquito spraying from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., August 10, at federal properties on Craney Island, adjacent city properties and the north Churchland area in Portsmouth, Va.
