  • Middle East District awards contract for Royal Saudi Land Forces Artillery Corps

    The Middle East District awarded a contract on Oct. 12 to design and construct artillery brigade headquarters, barracks and associated infrastructure for the Royal Saudi Land Forces Artillery Corps. Contract number W912ER19C0001 was awarded for $34,798,000 to Al Yamama Company for Trading and Contracting in Dammam, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

    ROGERS, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers is hosting Beaver Lake Master Plan and Shoreline Management Plan workshops Oct. 29 and Oct. 30 to share the final master plan and shoreline management plan, as well as associated environmental compliance documents with the public.
  • Partners united for salmon, steelhead and lamprey extend Columbia Basin Fish Accords

    States, tribes, and three federal agencies continue to work side by side for the good of endangered salmon and steelhead as they extend the historic Columbia Basin Fish Accords for up to four more years. The original agreements, signed in 2008, provided states and tribes more than $900 million to implement projects benefitting salmon, steelhead, and other fish and wildlife, and $50 million for Pacific lamprey passage improvements at federal dams on the Columbia and Snake rivers.

  • CORPS ISSUES SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY FOR ARKANSAS RIVER

    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - The Army Corps of Engineers has issued a small craft advisory for the Arkansas River. Recent rains across Oklahoma and Arkansas have caused flows to rise. During high flows, strong currents and large debris can threaten the safety of pleasure craft. Small craft advisories are issued when flows exceed 70,000 cubic feet per second.
  • USACE HELPS RESTORE NAVIGATION CHANNELS AFTER HURRICANE MICHAEL

    Surveying efforts from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mobile District quickly restored navigation channels in the aftermath of Hurricane Michael Thursday, Oct. 11, 2018. This included the Port of Pensacola, Fla. and nearly 300 miles of the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway.
