Colonel Damon A. Delarosa was assigned to the position of the Chief of Staff of the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Headquarters on July 1, 2024, after most recently serving as the 29th commander of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Alaska District .

Commissioned as an Army Engineer Officer following graduation from the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York in 1998, Delarosa has served in a variety of command and staff positions at the platoon, company, battalion, and brigade levels, as well as joint positions, both at home and abroad. His last assignment was as commander of the Alaska District with responsibility for providing the full range of services to state of Alaska, as well as humanitarian assistance projects throughout Southeast Asia in support of U.S. Indo-Pacific Command.

Delarosa first deployed in 2002 with the 25th Infantry Division as the mine action officer for the NATO Stabilization Force mission in Bosnia-Herzegovina. Then, he deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom with the 82nd Airborne Division as the theater security engineer from 2004 to 2005 and again as commander of Headquarters Company for the 3rd Brigade Special Troops Battalion from 2006 to 2007. He also deployed to Iraq as a battalion executive officer for 1st Battalion, 21st Infantry Regiment from 2010 to 2011 in support of Operation New Dawn.

During his career, Delarosa has earned the Army Ranger Tab, Sapper Tab, Senior Parachutist Badge and Air Assault Badge. His military awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Distinguished Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal and Silver Order of the DeFleury Medal.

Delarosa possesses a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York, master of science degrees in civil engineering and environmental engineering from the University of Missouri at Rolla, and a master of arts in national strategic studies from the Army War College at Carlisle, Pennsylvania. His military education includes the Army Engineer Officer Basic and Advanced courses at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri; Army Combined Arms and Services Staff School at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas; Army Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.

He is a native of San Antonio, Texas, and is married.
