Supplemental Work

The Civil Works Supplemental Program is delivering over $45 Billion of investment in water resource projects. The program includes over 1,200 projects in almost every part of the United States.  These projects, when completed will reduce flood risk, restore the environment, strengthen the supply chain and provide sustainable and resilient infrastructure for years to come.

Bipartisan Budget Act of 2018
Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act

The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), enacted on Nov. 15, 2021, provides $17.1 billion for U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Civil Works programs, projects, and activities to address many of the nation’s current and future water resources infrastructure needs for the benefit of the American public.

Over the past three years, USACE has executed nearly 140 agreements, 475 contract awards, 270 contract completions, and 65 ceremonial events with IIJA funding. These projects will make a real difference across the nation in reducing flood and coastal storm risks, boosting waterborne commerce and the economy, preserving and enhancing aquatic habitats, and building infrastructure resilience.

The USACE portfolio of IIJA projects continues to address critical water resources infrastructure needs that will benefit communities, citizens, and the environment for years to come.
