This project involves removing loose rock and vegetation from the bluff to mitigate public safety hazards. While these specific areas are closed, other facilities at the Right Bank Tailwater Recreation Area, including the boat ramp, playground, and picnic shelter, remain open. Officials anticipate the closed areas will reopen in January 2027 or as soon as the work is complete.
