  • Lakeville resident selected for prestigious award

    ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Headquarters in Washington, D.C., recently selected Lakeville, Minnesota, resident and St. Paul District senior hydraulic engineer Ann Banitt as the recipient of its Hydrology, Hydraulics and Coastal Community of Practice Professional of the Year Award.

    Tambour Eller, currently serving as the project executive on the Mosul Dam Task Force during its final close out, was recently named the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Civilian of the Year. Eller received the award for her combined work in three jobs over the course of the awards period.
  • Andrew Auxier Receives Award

    Andrew Auxier was presented with an Achievement Medal for Civilian Service for his outstanding performance as a Local Government Liaison for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in direct support to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) during the 2017 hurricane season. He was deployed for more than 45 days in response to hurricanes Irma and Maria coordinating support for local governments. His professionalism and dedication to service reflects credit upon himself and the United States Army.

The Society of American Military Engineers, which leads collaborative efforts to identify and resolve national security infrastructure-related challenges, selected Laureen Borochaner, chief of Engineering Division at the District, as the 2017 Wheeler Medal Award Winner. The U.S. Army Engineer Regiment selected Dan Blaydes as the 2017 Engineer Regiment Civilian of the Year Award recipient.
