Across two days of briefings, panels, and technical sessions a clear message emerged: the Caribbean is entering a new era of infrastructure investment, resilience planning, and federal‑industry collaboration. And the pace of work is accelerating. From the opening remarks to the final technical sessions, the conference underscored both the scale of opportunity ahead and the shared responsibility to deliver on it.

    VICKSBURG, Miss. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Vicksburg District and the Vicksburg chapter of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) hosted a math competition for local students Jan. 26 at the district’s headquarters in Vicksburg, Miss. The math competition was for sixth, seventh and eighth graders. Students from St. Aloysius High School, Porter's Chapel Academy, Academy of Innovation (AOI), Bovina Elementary, Bowmar Elementary, Beechwood Elementary, Redwood Elementary and St. Francis participated in the event.
