  • Corps joins Fort Irwin leaders to cut the ribbon on new library

    Representatives with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Los Angeles District joined Fort Irwin leaders March 9 to cut the ribbon on a new library – signifying the facility’s grand opening – at Fort Irwin. The Corps’ LA District managed the construction of the $6-million facility, which replaces a more than 25-year-old temporary library structure on the installation.

    The General Service Administration has awarded a contract to lease space in the historic Hens & Kelly Building – currently the Mohawk Building, allowing the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Buffalo District offices to relocate the main district office.

    CARTHAGE, Tenn. (July 16, 2012) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District is hosting a dedication ceremony for the newly constructed Cordell Hull Lake Resource Manager’s Office 9 a.m. Friday, July 20. The new facility replaces the previous building destroyed in a fire Sept. 26, 2008. The public and media are invited to the 9 a.m. dedication and an open house following the ceremony from 10 a.m. to noon.
