    NASHVILLE, TENN. (Aug. 31, 2017) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District Water Management Center is preparing for heavy rainfall in areas of the lower Cumberland River Basin from remnants of Hurricane Harvey, and is managing the release of water from dams throughout the Cumberland Basin to reduce flood risk.

(July 12, 2017) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District has partnered with the Tennessee State University College of Engineering, Technology and Computer Science Department to mentor science, technology, engineering and math students during a four-week National Summer Transportation Institute program June 20 through July 2 on the campus of TSU.

(June 7, 2017) – Hendricks Creek Marina here on Dale Hollow Lake raised the “Clean Marina” flag today during a dedication ceremony recognizing the marina’s voluntary efforts to reduce water pollution and erosion in the Cumberland River watershed, and for promoting environmentally responsible marina and boating practices.
