  • Women’s Equality Day SES panelists discuss overcoming obstacles, embracing opportunities

    As part of the Women’s Equality Day celebration at the U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center, Huntsville, Aug. 22, three women at the Senior Executive Service level talked about overcoming obstacles, following the examples strong female role models have set for them, and embracing lessons and opportunities throughout their careers. The discussion panel consisted of Audrey Robinson, Esq., chief of counsel at NASA Marshall Space Flight Center; Dr. Juanita M. Christensen, executive director of the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Aviation and Missile Center; and Karen Pane, director of Human Resources for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
  • Top Corps general tours Golden State projects

    The commanding general of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers toured several of the agency’s Los Angeles District projects during a recent three-day visit to the Golden State. Lt. Gen. Todd T. Semonite visited Southern California July 8 to 10, touring the San Diego border construction project, before heading to the Long Beach Veterans Affairs Healthcare System Medical Center to visit the sites of the future mental health in-patient/out-patient facility and community living center, which are under construction.
  • Human Capital data helps Huntsville Center plan for the future

    Tracking human capital data allows the U.S. Army Engineering and Support Canter, Huntsville to monitor information such as hiring action timelines, rates of attrition and percentages of those eligible for retirement now or in the near future, helping the Center keep the big picture in focus when it comes to workforce planning.
