• 22-022 Dworshak Dam is looking for volunteers

    AHSAHKA, Idaho – Dworshak Dam is looking for individuals or couples to serve as volunteers for the summer season. There are two types of positions open: Janitorial/Grounds Maintenance Volunteers at Dworshak Visitor Center and Dent Acres Campground, and Fee Collection/Customer Service Volunteers at Dent Acres.

    The ERCIP validation team is opening any Fiscal 2024 projects that don’t have carbon free solutions and updating the projects to fulfill the criteria.
  • Free boating safety classes offered at Illinois Waterway Visitor Center

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, will offer three free Illinois Safe Boating classes this summer at the Illinois Waterway Visitor Center May 7, June 18 and August 20 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. The classes are open to everyone age 11 and older. Students under age 16 should be accompanied by an adult and pre-registration is required. Upon successful completion of the class and exam, participants will receive an Illinois DNR Boat Safety Certification.

    Team TAM awarded a task order for an F-16 maintenance hangar for the Egyptian Air Force at Marsa Matrouh Air Base.
  • Prescribed burning planned at Lewis and Clark Lake

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District announces tentative plans to conduct several prescribed burns at Gavins Point Project on the sandbars and islands in the upper Lewis and Clark Lake region between Niobrara and Santee, Nebraska over the next several weeks.

    Just below Dworshak Dam, on the shore of the Clearwater River, lies the Dworshak National Fish Hatchery (DNFH). The DNFH raises millions of salmon and steelhead smolts every year to be released into the river and make their way down to the ocean.
