US upgrades Senegalese army training center
Construction work continues at Dodji Peace Keeping Operations Training Center in Senegal Aug. 20. The camp is being upgraded to include eight new barracks, seen here in white, a dining facility, shower and latrine facilities for men and women, a water treatment plant and a well. Existing barracks remain in the back right. The turnkey facilities will accommodate and supply 1,000 soldiers upon completion mid-September. U.S. Department of State Global Peace Operations Initiative funded the project to support the development of Senegalese PKO capabilities.
