CALIFORNIA — A clamshell dredge begins a five-month project May 2 to remove up to 350,000 cubic yards of material from the federal channel in Newport Harbor, Calif. The Port of Long Beach will use about one-third of the dredged material for its middle harbor redevelopment project.
