Omaha District receives distinguished honors for executing record-setting $595 million small business program

Each year, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Headquarters Office of Small Business hosts a Small Business Awards Ceremony to recognize districts and individuals across the organization who have made significant contributions to maximize small business opportunities. During a virtual ceremony hosted in Washington, D.C., the Omaha District received several awards for executing its largest small business program ever at $595 million during fiscal year 2020.

Los Angeles District leaders gathered for a seminar at the Bob Hope Patriotic Hall in downtown Los Angeles Dec. 10-12 to determine future goals and the work necessary to achieve them.

District Conducts Strategic Planning Session for Future Goals

Early in November, a team of 43 employees representing all levels within the District gathered for three days at the Forest Service Training Academy in Albuquerque, N.M. The goal? Define and strategize the District’s priorities for the next one to five years, with a focus on four outcomes: 1) improve collaboration with partners 2) improve quality in product delivery 3) close the knowledge and experience gap, and (4) build the teams for tomorrow, today.
