  • ERDC Lights Up the Night for the Holidays

    Excitement is lighting up the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) in Vicksburg, Mississippi, as plans come together for the 8th annual ERDC Under Lights holiday drive-thru event. Mark your calendars for December 5-6 from 6 until 8 p.m. when visitors will experience a celebration of community and holiday spirit. Entry will be through Gate 3, located just south of the ERDC Main Gate at 3909 Halls Ferry Road.

    LOWER SNAKE RIVER, Wash. – All three dams on the lower Snake River in Washington that allow public vehicle crossings -- Lower Granite Lock and Dam, near Pomeroy; Little Goose Lock and Dam, near Starbuck; and Lower Monumental Lock and Dam, near Kahlotus -- will be closed to public access for crossing for the holidays.

    For the fourth consecutive year, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Research and Development Center (ERDC) will open its gates to the public for a drive-by holiday light display on its 700-acre installation in Vicksburg on Dec. 17, 18 and 19 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. The entrance will be at the main gate located at 3909 Halls Ferry Road.
