  • NR 21-25: Laurel River Lake beach closed due to high E.coli levels

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (June 4, 2021) - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District announces the immediate closure of Spillway Beach at Laurel River Lake in London, Kentucky, due to E.coli detected in the water. High water levels and geese are suspected to be the cause.
  • NR 21-19: Cheatham Lock undergoing series of navigation closures

    ASHLAND CITY, Tenn. (April 16, 2021) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District announces that Cheatham Lock at Cumberland River mile 148.6 is undergoing a series of closures from April 22 through July 23.
  • South Jetty rehab close parts of Fort Stevens State Park

    South Jetty rehabilitation will temporarily close the observation tower at Lot “C” at Fort Stevens State Park beginning April 19. Lot “C” and the bathrooms remain open for public access but the tower will be closed until further notice. Construction progress will determine the reopening date and a separate announcement will follow.
  • 21-017 Parking lot at Mill Creek to be closed April 6 for paving

    Walla Walla, WA -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Walla Walla District (Corps) will be paving the parking lot adjacent to the Mill Creek Office building on April 6. This work will result in the closure of the parking lot and road to the Mill Creek Office for that day.
  • NR 21-15: Closure of Center Hill Recreation Area begins evening of April 7

    LANCASTER, Tenn. (March 30, 2021) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District is closing Center Hill Lake Recreation Area, also known as Ike Park. The ramp, shelters, and restroom facilities are scheduled to be closed 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 7 through April 8, 2021 for a Corps of Engineers hosted event.
  • Corps of Engineers to temporarily close road at Tygart Lake

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Pittsburgh District will temporarily close Paul E. Malone Road at Tygart Lake to perform road repairs beginning March 29. Repairs will be made to the half-mile of the road owned by the corps and will last three months.
  • Blue Marsh Lake Day Use Area to be Closed for Paving Project

    Due to paving and construction activities involved with the rehabilitation of park roadways, the Dry Brooks Day Use Area will be closed for public access. This includes all facilities within the Day Use Area including the swim beach, pavilions, the Eyes of the Eagle Sensory Trail, and bathroom buildings. The closure will take place starting April 01, 2021 through May 28, 2021.
  • NR 21-11: Waitsboro Recreation Area closing for road repairs

    SOMERSET, Ky. (March 18, 2021) - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District is closing Waitsboro Recreation Area at Lake Cumberland for roadway repairs March 19-24, 2021. The boat ramp and parking lot will not be accessible by the public at this time. The recreation area is reopening to the public 8 a.m. March 25, 2021.
  • NR 21-10: Floating Mill Recreation Area closing for maintenance

    SILVER POINT, Tenn. (March 17, 2021) - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District is closing Floating Mill Recreation Area at Center Hill Lake Thursday, March 18, through Sunday, March 21. The ramp, shelter, beach, and restroom facilities are not accessible due to maintenance and restriping of parking lots. The recreation area will be fully reopened to the public 8 a.m. March 22, 2021.
  • 21-007 Maintenance building upgrades to result in parking lot closure at Mill Creek

    Walla Walla, WA -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Walla Walla District (Corps) will be trenching a septic line for the new maintenance building near the Mill Creek office beginning tomorrow, March 3. This work will result in the closure of the parking lot and road to the Mill Creek Office, March 3 and 4.
