  • Corps of Engineers begins installing FUSRAP signs

    ST. LOUIS – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Louis District, began installing signs along Coldwater Creek in North St. Louis County on properties that still need to be cleaned up because of contamination from our nation’s early atomic energy program. These properties are being addressed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers under the Formerly Utilized Sites Remedial Action Program, also known as FUSRAP.
  • Record of Decision Published for FUSRAP Guterl Site in Lockport

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Buffalo District has published the Record of Decision for the Former Guterl Specialty Steel Corporation Site. The 70-acre site, located in Lockport, New York, is being addressed under the authority of the Formerly Utilized Sites Remedial Action Program. The record of decision marks the completion of the final step in the federal decision-making process for addressing legacy contamination at the site and describes the final selected remedy to address contaminated buildings, soil and groundwater at the Guterl Site.

    ST. LOUIS – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) St. Louis District, under its Formerly Utilized Sites Remedial Action Program (FUSRAP), has begun sampling activities in a subdivision located in Florissant, Missouri. This initiative includes portions of the right-of-way of Cades Cove Drive and on the common grounds adjacent to Coldwater Creek.

    ST. LOUIS – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Louis District, Formerly Utilized Sites Remedial Action Program, or FUSRAP, will hold an open house in Florissant June 8 from 6 to 8 p.m.
