The Wankel T.rex was discovered on property managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District near the Fort Peck Reservoir in eastern Montana. The specimen has been part of the Federal collection at the Museum of the Rockies in Bozeman, Mont., since its excavation in 1990.
