US upgrades Senegalese army training center
Representatives from the Senegalese armed forces, U.S. Embassy Senegal, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Europe District and contractor, CNaf-SET, tour the Dodji Peace Keeping Operations Training Center project site Aug. 20 in Senegal. The camp is being upgraded to include eight new barracks, a dining facility, shower and latrine facilities for men and women, a water treatment plant and a well. The turnkey facilities will accommodate and supply 1,000 soldiers upon completion mid-September. U.S. Department of State Global Peace Operations Initiative funded the project to support the development of Senegalese PKO capabilities.
