The Corps of Engineers is striving to become an Enterprise Risk Management organization where risk informed decision making (RIDM) advances our Military and Civil Works project delivery. As we strive to meet the needs of the nation in a rapidly changing and complex environment, it is imperative that the agency adopt a consistent and principle-based approach to risk management.

A May 2020 Director's Policy Memorandum, "Risk-Informed Decision Making for Program and Project Delivery," directs the agency to  adopt Enterprise Risk Management principles and implement the USACE RIDM Model to enable program and project delivery. To support this effort, IWR's Risk Analysis Gateway is a resource to advance organizational awareness and intelligence in managing risk.
