The Fiscal Year 2021 annual report for the U.S. Army Regional Environmental and Energy Offices (REEOs) is now available.

The Fiscal Year 2021 annual report for the U.S. Army Regional Environmental and Energy Offices (REEOs) is now available.

The Fiscal Year (FY) 2021 annual report for the U.S. Army Regional Environmental and Energy Offices (REEOs) is now available.

The REEOs represent Army and Department of Defense (DOD) environmental and energy interests at the state and regional level to support and advocate for military missions and facilities. They accomplish this by ensuring close coordination between military and regional policymakers, working to resolve potential mission impacts before state laws and regulations are finalized.

Their key activities include:

  • Monitoring and reporting on state legislative and regulatory activities that could affect installations’ abilities to perform their missions.
  • Engaging with state legislators and regulators to advance Army and DOD interests.
  • Building strategic partnerships with state and federal agencies and nongovernmental organizations.

In FY21, the REEOs reviewed more than 17,000 legislative actions and more than 3,100 regulatory actions and engaged more than 200 state and federal agencies.
