ROGERS, Ark. - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is closing the northbound lane of the Arkansas Highway 187 bridge across Beaver Dam from Nov. 9 until Feb. 9, 2021, for repairs to components on the downstream face of the dam.

Signage and a traffic light system will be in place to control the safe flow of traffic across the dam near the construction work.  If you are traveling in the area use Arkansas Highway 62 as an alternative route.

Officials at the USACE Beaver Lake Project Office regret any inconvenience this may cause and asks for the public's cooperation until the work is complete. The closure of the traffic lane is being coordinated with emergency services and law enforcement agencies. USACE officials ask travelers to plan alternate routes to avoid delays and allow extra time to reach their destinations.
