Town of Truro seeks permit for East Harbor, Moon Pond, Cape Cod Bay work

 The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District received a permit application from the town of Truro for proposed work between East Harbor/Moon Pond and Cape Cod Bay at locations on Shore Road and Route 6 in Truro.

The proposed project involves repairs to a broken culvert at East Harbor. The proposed work involves placement of temporary structures in the water to stop water for 3-6 weeks during construction; conversion of salt marsh to uplands and to non-tidal wetlands.

The Corps is soliciting comments from members of the public, federal, state, local agencies and Indian Tribes to consider and evaluate the impacts of this proposed activity.
