Company Operations Facility Readiness Bay showcasing the use of translucent fiberglass panel systems in a skylight and wall application
The project was designed in-house by Seattle District and was accepted by Savannah District as one of the floor plan standards. It happened to be the first time Ecotect was used on a Corps project for daylighting analysis. These pictures are of the Readiness bays. The original standard suggested using windows on the sidewall, after conducting the analysis it proved to be more efficient for prefabricated semi-transparent skylights and sidewall kalwall windows instead. This project excelled in creating cost effective solutions while still achieving LEED GOLD rating. The Project Team included Kyle Shaw, Renn Breshears, Jennifer Ramirez, Kelli Polzin, Tyler Bush, Glen Chihara, Dennis Brandt, Anton Klein, Sean Irby, Rod Perry, and David Wong.
