The rights-of-entry are necessary to conduct various investigative activities (surveys, cultural resource investigations, geotechnical investigations). These investigative activities support the transition from conceptual designs to implementable project features and are necessary to continue to move conceptual designs forward to construction and these rights of entry are valid for up to 12 months.   &lt;br/&gt;

This additional awarded work increased the jetty repair contract to $48.3 million. The additional work area will require temporary closure of the north jetty beginning on Oct. 5.&lt;br/&gt;

      <description>CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The Galveston District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers today announced the start of repairs to the entrance jetty of the Corpus Christi Ship Channel located at Aransas Pass.  Actual work on the project is scheduled to begin in mid-June.&lt;br/&gt;
