Dr. Igor Linkov, Research Physical Scientist, Environmental Laboratory, U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) was recognized with the Stem Individual Award by the Chief of Engineers, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Headquarters. He is part of the Risk and Decision Science Team and the Risk and Decision Science Focus Area.
Dr. Linkov has demonstrated exceptional dedication and leadership in advancing the Corps of Engineers' STEM message. He has initiated innovative efforts aimed at recruiting and retaining STEM professionals , has provided internship opportunities to dozens of students annually, and has participated in the U.S. Army's educational outreach programs. Dr. Linkov's leadership has resulted in a thriving internship program that hosts approximately 15 students per year and in an increased awareness of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), both for its exceptional career opportunities and for the cutting-edge research it conducts.
Dr. Linkov is an outstanding scientist , communicator, and leader with a strong determination to advance the Corps' STEM strategy. He is a highly valued asset of the ERDC and the USACE. . Dr. Linkov's dedication brings great credit to the USACE.
