USACE Releases the Time Series Toolbox (TST)

Many important engineering decisions for the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) rely on time series data such as: hydrologic, weather, or economic data.  Time series analysis can be useful to see how a given variable or measurement changes over time and inform decisions based on historical data patterns.  The Time Series Toolbox facilitates a consistent, repeatable, and efficient application of standard time series methods to a variety of datasets with similar structures; therefore, users can focus on analyzing results and drawing conclusions.

The Time Series Toolbox provides a diverse set of capabilities for time series analysis. It enables a deeper analysis of trend measurement and seasonality, using regression techniques and statistical methods to identify and define these patterns. The tool also allows for nonstationary detection by using statistical testing to detect change points and trends in data.
