    ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, will celebrate the completion of the Sandy Lake Dam rehabilitation project with a ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony on Aug. 2 at the Sandy Lake Recreation Area at 1 p.m. The recreation area is located at 22205 531st Lane, McGregor, Minnesota.

    ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, will temporarily close the south boat landing at Big Sandy Lake, near McGregor, Minnesota, to reconstruct the ramp, beginning Sept. 20. The ramp will be closed for about two weeks.

PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, in partnership with the Sandy Lake Association, will host an informational meeting Sat., Nov. 2, following the association’s monthly meeting at 10:30 a.m., at the Big Sandy Lodge and Resort, 20534 487th Street, McGregor, Minnesota.
  • Sandy Visitor Center receives a facelift

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District’s Sandy Lake Visitor’s Center has a new look. The district’s history committee recently completed a renovation there that included the tearing down of older displays, the research and design of new panels and the building and installation of new display cases and panels. The new look was unveiled at a ribbon cutting ceremony Aug. 17.
