Raye Thornton, a paralegal with the Tulsa District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Office of Counsel, is presented the prestigious USACE Chief Counsel Keystone Award by District Commander Col. Michael Teague. The award recognizes professionalism and valued service of an individual member or of a team comprised of members of the USACE Legal Services System who made a significant contribution to the Corps Legal Services System and its mission.

Tulsa District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers attorney Stephanie R. Darr, the district's labor counselor, is presented the E. Manning Seltzer Award by District Commander Col. Michael Teague. The award recognizes a Corps attorney who has made one or more special contributions to the Corps' legal services mission. The contribution may result from the development of a legal theory or application in any field of law, legal management innovation or practice, or outstanding performance in solving a legal or management problem.

If 80 is the new 65 when it comes to current retirement plans, then most U.S Army Corps of Engineers employees would still have a decade to go before catching up with Civil Engineer Jack Otis, whose departure in September will officially make him the oldest employee to retire from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
